Recently, it's been rare that I find a weekend where I'm not working. But it so happens that this weekend, during MLK weekend, I am! So when I got home from photographing a wedding late on Friday, Joseph surprises me with a little weekend in the desert.
On Saturday, we drove out to San Bernardino area and into the mountains to visit Lake Arrowhead. I've never been to a lake, as they've been fairly far from me, and the thought of lakes kind of creep me out. Who knows what's lurking at the bottom pit of those lakes, right?!? But as you can see from the photos, I faced my fears and even put myself out there - on the docks.
The lake was gorgeous. Bigger than I thought it would have been. Beside the lake was a small shopping center full of local mom and pop boutiques that sell various trinkets and knick knacks.
There were also sightings of snow! Finally, a glimpse of a white winter for me, and it was gorgeous.
